Did you know that NASA studies trees and tree heights from space and that there have been tree seeds flown into space and planted back on Earth? Come learn about NASA Earth Science Missions, including ICESat-2, the NASA Moon Tree Program from Apollo 14 (1971) – Artemis I (2022) and how you can take tree height observations, using your mobile device and the free GLOBE Program’s GLOBE Observer App, and help students and NASA scientists with data for research. We will showcase all of this through an interactive talk and an excursion outside to demonstrate the GLOBE Observer App’s Trees Tool.
