The ICESat-2 Community of Practice (CoP) is made up of those groups and individuals who are familiar with NASA products, have a well-defined need for proposed ICESat-2 data products and who can apply their own resources to demonstrate the utility of ICESat-2 data for their research, application, or model. The Community of Practice includes ICESat-2 Applied Users who have committed to developing a specific application that aids decision-making and directly benefits society as well as researchers who are currently using ICESat-2 data. End-users as well as policy/decision makers, local government officials, etc. are also welcome to join.

Goals for the COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE

The overall goal of the ICESat-2 Community of Practice is to provide individuals and groups with the unique opportunity to network and share information with other members in the use of ICESat-2 data in research. Through networking and information sharing, the CoP will seek to foster new partnerships and collaboration, generate new knowledge and innovations, and promote interdisciplinary research using ICESat-2 data. We also seek to foster discussion and allow members to present their science or application.
